Plantation Teak
Premium-grade Tectona grandis from Perhutani-managed plantations in Central and East Java. 40–80 year rotation cycles produce dense, oil-rich timber with a warm golden-honey tone. The backbone of our collection.
Kayu Java curates the finest teak furniture from the master craftsmen of Jepara, Central Java — Indonesia's legendary furniture capital, where woodworking tradition stretches back over 500 years. Each piece embodies generations of skill, refined for contemporary hospitality and residential projects worldwide.
We work directly with certified manufacturers across Java's north coast, maintaining hands-on quality control from timber selection through final finishing. Our partners source exclusively from Perhutani-managed plantations, ensuring every board is legally harvested, sustainably grown, and fully traceable.
From a single dining chair to a 500-room resort furnishing — we scale with you.

Every piece begins with the right timber. We offer three primary wood species, each chosen for distinct performance characteristics and aesthetic qualities.

Premium-grade Tectona grandis from Perhutani-managed plantations in Central and East Java. 40–80 year rotation cycles produce dense, oil-rich timber with a warm golden-honey tone. The backbone of our collection.

Salvaged from old Javanese houses, bridges, and boats — some pieces over 100 years old. Each board carries unique character: nail holes, weathering, and a deeper patina impossible to replicate. Kiln-dried and structurally certified before use.

Swietenia macrophylla, plantation-grown in Java. Rich reddish-brown colour with a fine, interlocking grain that takes stains and finishes beautifully. Lighter than teak, preferred for ornate indoor pieces, headboards, and cabinetry.
We combine teak with carefully selected accent materials to create texture, contrast, and visual depth. Each pairing is chosen for both aesthetics and longevity in high-end environments.

UV-stabilized polypropylene in neutral tones. Hand-woven onto teak frames. Soft touch, quick-drying, and colourfast indoors and out.

Calamus palm harvested from Indonesian forests. Flexible, lightweight, and warm. Used for seat weaving and decorative panels.

High-density polyethylene wicker on aluminum or teak frames. Weather-proof, maintenance-free, and ideal for poolside furniture.

Powder-coated aluminum and 316 marine-grade stainless for coastal-safe, contemporary frames paired with teak armrests.

Premium aniline leathers and high-performance textiles from Sunbrella for resort-standard comfort and durability.

Indonesian volcanic stone and terrazzo for tabletops and inlays. Adds mass, coolness, and visual contrast to teak bases.

Every piece of timber we use is legally harvested, fully traceable, and sourced from managed plantations or reclaimed structures. We hold active chain-of-custody documentation for all three certification systems below — available on request for your procurement compliance.
Indonesia's mandatory timber legality verification system. Required for all wood product exports. Verifies legal harvesting rights, transport documentation, and processing compliance. Audited annually by independent bodies.
Forest Stewardship Council certification tracks timber from forest to finished product. Ensures responsible forest management, community rights, and environmental protection. Our FSC-certified lines carry the FSC label on request.
